WEBSep 21, 2012 · Through my experience's, I've found that sticking to the manufacturer's sfpm and cranking up the feed is normally the way to go. I use a lot of 1/8 ball nose end mills 12k rpm and upwards of 150 200 ipm. Since the finish shouldn't be taking a lot of material off, you still need to produce a chip. Hence the high feedrates.
